Great read and very informative.  Should be used in conjunction with course study and for in-service training.

The book was absolutely fascinating.  Had no idea how complex police work can be.  Sounds worse than Washington DC politics!

I cannot imagine taking all of this information and putting it together into such a well written book. The cocaine world and the police investigative world woven together and presented in an easy to understand way – what an achievement! Both the book and the police work documented in the book which was done by the author and which formed the basis for the book are amazing.

I have finished reading the book and really liked it.  It reminded me of Ann Rule’s books in the manner in which it is written.
‘It puts you right there’.  Very well written. What an undertaking and a part of your life!  It all came together and you lucked out with
Moffett, Bauman, Frink and Mickey.   Schwartz was great to stick by you.

Some of you (my friends) have commented how much you enjoyed Ray Tercek’s book this past year, “The Investigation of Pepe Chavez et al”. This is to alert you to the fact that a sequel book will be published and out in January 2012. It is subtitled “When Police & Politics Collide”. Another “tell-all” memoir of Portland, it’s police bureau and the politicians of the 1980s. Should be a good read. I will be purchasing it and I recommend it.
