Retired US Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn

Regarding the FBI targeting of Retired US Army Lt. General Michael Flynn: Newly released evidence now indicates that the FBI may have violated Gen Flynn’s constitutional rights at the outset of their investigation into the spurious and perverse “Russia Hoax”. If the violation is proven, Justice will no doubt find that all FBI evidence collected after will be deemed “fruit of the poison tree” –inadmissible in any court, past or future. The consequence: Gen. Flynn’s guilty plea will be vacated; his rightful heroic legacy will be reclaimed.

I hear two explanations/defense of FBI strategic discussion re the interview of Gen Flynn. (Bill Priestap, then the FBI’s head of counterintelligence, wrote, “What’s our goal? Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired? If we get him to admit to breaking the Logan Act, give facts to DOJ & have them decide. Or, if he initially lies, then we present him [redacted] & he admits it, document for DOJ, & let them decide how to address it.”)
    1) FBI defenders reason: It’s just internal strategic discussion among investigators like any other investigation.
BS. I am appalled with Priestap’s key words, “…truth/ admission or get him to lie…”. Without question, new law enforcement officers at swearing-in had better resolve that issue before taking the oath. Truth. Period! The issue should never be offered for consideration thereafter.
    2) FBI defenders reason: Well, he pled guilty.
BS. Without question, our constitution protects all Americans from law enforcement violations of our constitutional rights. Intimidation and vindictive prosecution included. Any consequent proceedings known to have occurred after the violation should be overturned.
